TANA EyelashPower is “radix-active”.
1.
Hydrolyzed Lupine Protein (HLP) restores the hormonal balance by
inhibiting the activity of 5α-reductase
II, an enzyme involved in androgenetic alopecia.
The
hormonal system, in particular androgens, play a fundamental role in
the phenomenon of alopecia. Androgens are very often involved in
problems of hair loss. Hair follicles show then an increased
activity of the enzyme 5α-reductase
II and a higher level of 5α-Dihydrotestosterone
(5α-DHT).
5α-DHT
produced by the conversion of testosteron by the enzyme 5α-reductase
II, is apperently the most important factor responsible for the
miniaturization of hair follicles. Its capacity to bind to an
androgen receptor leads to the formation of a
hormone/receptor-complex that subsequently activates the genes
responsible for the gradual transformation of large terminal
follicles into much thinner follicles.
2.
Hydrolyzed Lupine Protein improves the vascularisation of the hair
follicle cells.
Vascularisation
of the hair follicle is essential for the correct development and
growth of hair, especially during the anagen phase. It participates
in the processes involved in regulation of the hair cycle in which
growth factors, cytokines and other molecules are involved.
One of the essential growth factors is VEGF (vasco-endothelial
growth factor) known to stimulate angiogenesis and vascular
permeability on which hair growth is highly dependent. Work has
shown that the quantity of VEGF is lower in individuals with an
androgenetic alopecia than in normal subjects. The reduction of VEGF
results in inadequate vascularisation and is a factor in the atrophy
of hair follicles. Hydrolyzed Lupine Protein increases the synthesis
of VEGF and also makes the existing vascular system around the hair
follicle denser, in order to facillitate the supply of nutrients
that are essential for the intense activity of cells in the anagen
phase.
3.
Hydrolyzed Lupine Protein stimulates cell metabolism.
During the anagen phase, or the phase of hair growth, cellular
activity is very intense. Cells divide continuously to favour the
formation and gowth of hair. After differentiation they accumulate
keratin that they produce themselves. This keratinisation step
hardens the hair and leads to this disintegration of nuclei and cell
death. A growing hair is a sort of
visual expression of cell multiplication. The pressure exerted by
multiplying keratinocytes pushes the hair outwards and leads to its
appearance on the surface. Hydrolyzed Lupine Protein also provides
peptides and trace elements (essentially zinc and iron) that
stimulate the metabolic activity of hair bulb and boosts keratincyte
differentiation, thereby favouring hair growth.

Additionally our “radix-active” TANA EyelashPower contains the
following, high-quality ingredients:
Biotin:
Also called vitamin H. Counteracts the loss of hair, eyelashes and
eyebrows.
Sodium
lactate:
Moisturizes the surrounding areas of the hair.
Plantapon
LC 7:
Increases the volume of a hair – makes it look more dense.
Caffeine:
This element infiltrates the root of the hair and compensates the
inbred energy blockade.
D-Pathenol:
Also called provitamin B5. This component of the coenzyme A plays an
essential part in the cutaneous metabolism, acts as a humectant
agent for the skin with care properties. It also finds application
as eye drops.
Hyaluronic acid:
We find this element in a variaty of tissues. It is a long-chain,
linear polysaccaride performing different functions, such as
accumulating water (e.g. the vitreous humour consists of 98% water
bound only to 2% hyaluronic acid). “Providing room and roads” for
roaming cells is another important function.
